The Legon Centre for Education Research and Policy (LECERP) proudly celebrates Dr. Innocent Agbelie, an Assistant Research Fellow, on the attainment of his Doctorate in Development Studies during the February 2025 congregation ceremonies at the University of Ghana.
Dr. Agbelie’s academic journey has been remarkable. Before earning his doctorate, he obtained both a Master of Philosophy and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the same institution. His research has consistently focused on critical areas such as urban resilience, sustainable energy, social protection, and the transformative potential of educational technology.
Following his graduation on February 11, 2025, Dr. Agbelie expressed his gratitude, stating that:
"As a Development and Environmental Economist, I am deeply grateful for the training, guidance, and mentorship I have received from esteemed scholars. This experience has equipped me for an academic journey rooted in participatory research, capacity development, and advocacy for evidence-based policy. I look forward to collaborating with national and international partners to design and implement solutions that enhance resilience and promote inclusive development in Ghana."
