Leveraging Internet Access for Teacher Professional Development

The Leveraging Internet Access for Teacher Professional Development project is a collaborative initiative led by the Legon Centre for Education Research and Policy (LECERP) and the Internet Society Foundation (ISOC), in partnership with the Ghana Education Service.
Our Mission
This project is dedicated to transforming teaching and learning in Ghana’s Senior High Schools by:
- Enhancing teaching quality through internet-driven professional development.
- Improving student learning outcomes.
- Increasing teacher retention rates.
- Developing sustainable models for continuous professional growth.
Implementation & Reach
The initiative is being implemented in the Eastern Region of Ghana from 2024 to 2026, impacting five beneficiary schools:
- Apeguso Senior High School
- Boso Senior High Technical School
- Anum Presbyterian Senior High School
- Adjena Senior High Technical School
- Akwamuman Senior High School
Through this project, we aim to equip educators with the necessary digital tools and training to foster innovation in the classroom, ultimately shaping a brighter future for students across the country.
